Deepti Sharma enters history books
The all-rounder was stuck on 148 wickets after missing the second T20I in Visakhapatnam. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur handed Deepti the ball in the powerplay, and she struck in the 5th over by getting the wicket of Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu.
Kavisha Dilhari’s scalp in the 14th over was the big moment for Deepti. It was her 150th wicket in Women’s T20I. But she didn’t stop there. He topped it off by levelling Schutt at 151 wickets by uprooting Malsha Shehani in the 18th over.
In the remaining two T20Is at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Deepti will have the opportunity to place herself atop the list.
