It was a chaotic Day 1 with 23 wickets falling and Proteas batting twice. After India dismissed South Africa for 55 in the first innings, Proteas mounted a stunning comeback. From 153/4, India were bowled out for 153 without adding any runs as six wickets fell for zero.
