It took just 1.2 overs for India cricket team bowlers to rattle the Pakistan top-order in the high-octane IND vs PAK clash. Batting first in the contest, Agha and co. lost their first wicket in the very first over while Jasprit Bumrah struck just a few deliveries later to leave PAK reeling. While Pakistan managed to go past 40 runs after losing two wickets in the 1st six overs, the damage was already done by the Indian bowlers.
Double strike rattles batters in IND vs PAK tie
Saim Ayub was dismissed for a golden duck in the IND vs PAK tie as he was dismissed by Panyda in the very first over – the very first ball. A simple catch from Bumrah brought the Pakistan opener’s innings to an end. Incidentally, ex-Pakistan pacer Tanvir Ahmed had claimed that the young opener could smash Bumrah for six sixes in an over, unlike what he did so in the IND vs PAK contest.
The second batter to depart in quick succession was Haris, as Bumrah struck in the second delivery of his first over. Reciprocating the ace pacer, Pandya completed a catch off Bumrah’s delivery to get rid of the batter for 3 runs off 5 deliveries. Eventually, Pakistan were reduced to 7/2 at the end of 2 overs. Although Fakhar Zaman and Farhan helped the team recover in the remainder of the powerplay, the damage had already been done. A few deliveries later, it was Zaman’s turn to depart as Axar Patel struck.
