The IND vs PAK clash got off on a false note in Dubai on Sunday. The Asia Cup 2025 marked a tipping point and tensions were rising with both captains refusing to shake hands after toss. Later, the stadium DJ played the wrong track as the teams stood for their national anthems before the start of the match.
DJ plays wrong track ahead during IND vs PAK
Events took a rather comic turn at the start of the IND vs PAK clash in Asia Cup 2025. The two teams lined up at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the national anthems. However, the DJ diffused the tension by playing the wrong track, instead of the Pakistan national anthem. A party song was played instead of the anthem but was soon cut short with the national anthem to continue proceeding.
The clash was called to be boycott by many fans in India in line of solidarity with the Indian armed forces following the attack on Pahalgam. However, BCCI and the Government of India have the green light and the Asia Cup bears witness to the greatest cricketing rivalry in action.
While the Indian players did not boycott, there remains an element of silent aggression. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and his counterpart Salman Ali Agha did not shake hands post toss. The two captains usually shake hands following the coin toss, but the duo had no such plans.
