In what could add another series for Team India, it seems that the BCB has reached out to the BCCI, expressing interest in playing a series. BCB director of operations Nazmul Abedin Fahim confirmed the same to ANI. “We maintain regular communication with various countries’ cricket boards. As part of that regular communication, we recently reached out to the Board of Control for Cricket in India via a letter, through an email, to communicate with them”, Fahim said.
Of course, the larger purpose is a series between the two countries. “In the letter, we mentioned that the Indian national cricket team is scheduled to come to Bangladesh in September to play a series, and after that, our women’s team is supposed to go to India. We also included in the letter a request to explore any other possibilities for reciprocal cricket collaborations,” he added.
As far as the schedule is concerned, the men’s team is to tour Bangladesh in September 2026 for a six-match white ball series. It was originally slated to take place in August 2025, but did not happen due to security reasons. The final schedule is yet to be decided, but a tentative roster is there.
Additionally, while it is believed that politically, relations between the both the countries are on the rise, it cannot be confirmed if the series would take place, when the date arrives.
