The Champions Trophy 2025 team of the tournament is out and none of the players from host country Pakistan have made it to the list. The team is dominated by players from the title-winning Indian side followed by runners-up New Zealand. No player from South Africa, Australia, England, Bangladesh have made the list either.

India’s leading run-scorer from the Champions Trophy – Shreyas Iyer – along with Virat Kohli, KL Rahul feature in the top five. Shami and Varun Chakravarthy, who finished as second and third highest wicket-takers in the tournament, were the two Indian bowlers who found a place in the team. All-rounder Axar Patel, who impressed with his flashes of brilliance with both bat and ball, has been named as the 12th man.

New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, captain Mitchell Santner and CT 2025 highest wicket-taker Matt Henry have been named in the team. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadaran – who shattered the Champions Trophy record with his 177-run knock, has found a place in the side along with Azmatullah Omerzai, thanks to his brilliance with the ball.
