It was all fun and jubilation after the India Cricket Team won the ICC Champions Trophy. Interestingly, it was also head coach Gautam Gambhir’s first trophy win since he took over the reins of the team. Gambhir has been criticized in recent times after the loss to Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, but now within his first year as coach, he has helped India win a title. And with a smile on his face, Gambhir and Navot Singh Sidhu joined together in sharing shayari after the game.
The India Cricket Team under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma went on to defeat New Zealand in the Champions Trophy finals in Dubai. The previous ICC title, i.e, the T20 World Cup 2024, came under Rahul Dravid’s reign, in fact, his very last game as the head coach of the team.
A different persona of Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir has always been a hard and aggressive person since his playing days. Be it the captain of his side to now as the head coach, he always looks firm and determined. But after India’s success in the finals, Gambhir was all smiles. He kept on grinning as he shared a wonderful conversation with Navjot Sindhu.
After the game while catching up, Sidhu was chatting with Gambhir when he was just about to ask him a question. But Gambhir stopped him and said Why don’t you share your shayari. “Leave talks about me, tell us your shayari. If you don’t, then I will say it,” Gambhir said with a huge laugh.
But then the duo shared the rhyme. While Gambhir started it with a first line, it was Sudhu who gave the befitting end to the two-liner. After this, Sidhu requested Gambhir a lot to dance to bhangra, but with a clear smile on his face, Gambhir denied the request to the last moment.
