India tour of Bangladesh confirmed

Amid increasing criticism of Mustafizur Rahman’s playing for KKR, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed India will tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series in September 2026. The series was originally slated to be played in August 2025, but was postponed amid rising political tensions between the two nations.

Shreyas Iyer injury update

Shreyas Iyer’s selection for the India vs New Zealand ODI series hangs in the balance. The Indian ODI vice-captain will undergo match-simulation sessions on January 2 and 5. If the medical team at the Centre of Excellence comes to the conclusion that his body is ready for competitive cricket, he’ll get the fitness clearance.

RR’s home base for IPL 2026

Sawai Mansingh Stadium won’t be RR’s home for the IPL 2026 season. The inaugural champions have decided to shift base after the Jaipur venue failed to comply with updated evacuation and safety norms. RR were in talks with the Maharashtra Cricket Association and will adopt the MCA Stadium in Pune as their new base.

BCCI has agreed to add T20I matches to the India vs Sri Lanka Test series in August 2026. The Indian board has made the decision to help raise funds for those affected by Cyclone Ditwah. BCCI had agreed to send Team India in December 2025, but due to time constraints and broadcaster issues, it couldn’t happen.
