Big Cricket League (BCL) inaugural season sets new benchmark, records 16.1 million viewership

The inaugural season of the Big Cricket League (BCL) was held from December 12 to December 22, 2024, and the tournament's viewership was impressive.

The Big Cricket League (BCL) tournament has set a new benchmark with its impressive viewership records with 16.1 million in both the live streaming and broadcasting platforms Sports Network and FanCode.

The tournament was held from December 12 to December 22, 2024, in Surat with star former players like Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Herschelle Gibbs, Imran Tahir, Tillakaratne Dilshan, and others.

BCL records 16.1 million viewership

The inaugural season of the Big Cricket League achieved a live viewership of 16.1 million across television and digital platforms over 10 match days and 18 T20 matches. Additionally, the BCL garnered a global reach of over 200 million across digital, print, and social media during its first season.

BCL inaugural season won by Mumbai Marines

The Mumbai Marines, captained by former Indian bowler Irfan Pathan won the league’s inaugural round.

The BCL, a first-of-its-kind cricket league, brought together 60 amateur cricket players and 48 former international and first-class players from throughout the globe. The players were chosen via trials held throughout India.
