In what comes as a major blow to Team Australia ahead of the Women’s World Cup 2025 in India & Sri Lanka, their all-rounder Grace Harris has been sidelined due to a calf injury. The 32-year-old suffered in the injury during the third and final ODI vs India in Delhi recently, and won’t be available for the tournament starting on September 30.

But then, keeping in mind the strong bench that the Aussies have, they have named the replacement in Heather Graham. Meanwhile Australia play their first match on October 1 against New Zealand. Coming back to Grace, she is regarded as one of the hardest-hitters in women’s cricket, and has a strike-rate in upwards of 160 in Women’s 100 competition.
But despite this setback, the multiple World Cup-winners, Australia are the best team as always. In their 2-1 series win over India, they went on to record their highest ODI total of 412 as well. All their batters and bowlers look to be in some decent form ahead of the World Cup and are tipped to at least make the final.
In the last edition they had emerged victorious after beating England in the final after scoring a massive 356. England too came up with a strong reply, with Nat Sciver-Brunt scoring a century, but that was not enough on the day.
