India cricket team will leave for Dubai four or five days before the start of Asia Cup 2025. The 8-nation tournament, scheduled to be hosted in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will commence from September 9 onwards, with India playing their tournament opener against UAE on September 10. The BCCI announced the 15-member squad, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, for the marquee event on Tuesday with Shubman Gill named as the vice-captain.
India to leave on Sep 4 or 5 for Asia Cup
As per News24, Team India will leave for Dubai on September 4 or 5. The report states that no training camp will be held for the Men in Blue before the tournament. It is pertinent to point out that India last played a T20I series earlier in January against England. Members of the Indian team last played in the shortest format of the game in IPL 2025 between March-June. The report claims that the selectors have decided to not have any training camp as they are satisfied with the performances of the selected stars in IPL 2025.
