Australia cricket team will be without the services of Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis in the IND vs AUS 1st ODI which will take place in Perth on October 19. Initially named in the squad, the duo will now miss the opening game of the series and Matthew Kuhnemann and Josh Phillipe have been named as replacements. The three-match ODI series will get underway from October 19 onwards and will be followed by a five-match T20I series.
No Zampa for IND vs AUS 1st ODI
As per reports, Zampa has decided to stay back in New South Wales as he is expecting the birth of his second child. He is expected to rejoin the side for the 2nd and 3rd ODI in Adelaide and Sydney. Meanwhile, Inglis is yet to recover from a calf strain, paving way for Phillipe to feature in an ODI for the first time. Australia’s first-choice keeper Alex Carey will be taking part in a Sheffield Shield game to prepare for the Ashes and hence won’t be a part of the ODIs.
Kuhnemann has been named as Zampa’s replacement for the IND vs AUS 1st ODI and will be playing in the 50-over format for the first time in three years.
