Srikkanth claimed that Pakistan should not be allowed to play with big teams like India in T20Is ahead of the IND vs PAK Super 4 tie

Former Indian selector K Srikkanth compared the current Pakistan team to a 7th division side in a Chennai league. His comments on a hapless unit led by Salman Ali Agha and co. come ahead of the IND vs PAK Super 4 clash which will take place in Dubai on Sunday. India’s dominance over Pakistan in the shortest format of the game continues as Suryakumar Yadav and co. clinched a convincing 7-wicket win against their arch-rivals in the previous encounter.

Ex-India selector’s brutal take on PAK

In a video on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth launched a scathing attack on Pakistan, claiming that they should no longer be allowed to play with top teams. He said that India-Pakistan rivalry in T20 cricket was no history and that the current team no longer scared India. Further, he said that it was a privilege for Pakistan to be allowed to play in such a prestigious tournament.

Pakistan should be removed from the top seven. From hereon, India-Pakistan matches won’t attract crowds. India-Pakistan rivalry has become history. This Pakistan team will give us no scare. This is a seventh division team in a Chennai league,” Srikkanth said.

Srikkanth further claimed that Pakistan must be asked to play with Associate Nations in the future. He suggested that instead of including PAK among the main teams, some associate sides could perhaps be given a chance.

Going forward, Pakistan shouldn’t be playing with the main teams. Have them among the Associate nations and bring a few of the others there here. It’s a big thing for Pakistan that they are even allowed to play in such a prestigious tournament,” said Srikkanth.

India have played 14 T20Is against Pakistan so far and have won ten and lost just three. In Asia Cup (shortest format of the game), India have won 3 out of 4 times the two sides have met.
