Richa Ghosh is a professional cricketer and represents the Indian women’s cricket team in ODIs and T20Is. She hails from Siliguri, West Bengal, and plays the role of a wicket-keeper batter for the Women in Blue. She is a useful medium pacer and has worked on her bowling skills under the watchful eyes of former pacer Jhulan Goswami.

Career Brief

Cricket made an entry into Richa Ghosh’s life when she was just four thanks to her father Manabendra. After taking inspiration from local hero and later India legend Jhulan Goswami’s career, Richa ventured into cricket and even before her teens arrived, became a powerful name in Bengal women’s cricket circuit. When she was only 16, she was named in the Indian women’s T20 squad for the 2020 T20 World Cup, as a wicket-keeper batter.
