Burnley 0-4 Chelsea Highlights: Chelsea ease past Burnley
Reece James was the star of the show for Chelsea as he scored one and assisted another as the Blues beat Burnley 4-0. Chelsea went to a back three here at Turf Moor with the Blues making nine changes from the side that beat Luton in the FA Cup.
And it was Thomas Tuchel’s men who did all the early running with Reece James going close on 15 minutes.
Burnley really should have scored on the half hour mark though as Edouard Mendy punched the ball straight at Dwight McNeil, but the winger skied his effort over the bar from eight yards.
Into the second half and Chelsea immediately went ahead as Reece James fired an effort across Nick Pope and into the bottom corner. And then Kai Havertz headed in a second soon after with the Germany international getting on the end of a Christian Pulisic cross.
Havertz was at it again just moments later as he bundled in from close range to get a third for the Blues in just seven second half minutes. A superb second half got even better for Chelsea on 69 minutes as Pulisic latched on to a defensive error and slotted in from close range.
