The Annual Map Change introduces four fresh battlefield layouts—Dangerous Grass, Broken Walls, Flying Cloud, and Expanding Rivers—that are randomly chosen in each match during hero selection. These new environments force teams to rethink drafting and in-game strategy. For example, Dangerous Grass is packed with tall bushes for stealth ambushes, Broken Walls adds shortcuts and escape routes, Flying Cloud features quick respawn flights from base, and Expanding Rivers grants speed boosts for rotations and ganks.
Meet Obsidia: Sovereign of Dark’s End
Season 38’s headline addition is Obsidia, an Abyss marksman hero who redefines single-target burst damage in the Land of Dawn. Her playstyle revolves around accumulating Bone Shards through attacks, then releasing them in a devastating barrage. Obsidia’s ultimate—Hunt of Bone—tethers her to an enemy, locking both at close range and preventing escape while she unleashes her fatal power.
