FIFA WC ENGLAND TEAM: The 56-year wait for The Three Lions to bring the most coveted trophy in World Football home has been quite a chaotic one. It has been over half a century since they lifted the trophy that they have had their eye on for so long.

They came close in 2018 but ended up losing to Croatia in the semi-finals and their heartbreak continued as they lost on penalties to Italy in the final of the 2020 Euros. Looking at their cumulative performances from these last two tournaments, you would expect them to come out all guns blazing and find redemption for 2018 and 2020.

FIFA WC ENGLAND SQUAD: What can you even say about this talented team? They are ABSOLUTELY stacked through the pitch. Quality in their starting line-up, even more quality in their bench and reserve players, and some players are knocking on the door, who have quite a lot of potential.

They were in top form during the World Cup Qualifiers and finished top of their group winning 8 out of 10 games. Gareth Southgate has done well with the English side as after they finished last in the 2014 World Cup, their displays in these big tournaments have become significantly better and they will be hoping to continue the same in Qatar as well.

ENGLAND TEAM NEWS: The headache for Southgate will be to figure out who will start and who will be benched as he has so much quality right throughout the ranks. Harry Kane will be leading their attack and should be accompanied by Sterling and Saka on either side.

It is said that young players will be ruling the roost for the Three Lions at this World Cup and a midfield of Rice, Bellingham, and Foden looks quite deadly on paper. Maguire, Stones, and Shaw seemed to have locked their positions with Pickford behind them, but the RB position still seems up for grabs.

ENGLAND Team INJURY LIST: The RB position is one to worry about for the English lads, as they have injuries to their main players in this position. Kyle Walker is recovering from his injury and is expected to be fit before the World Cup. He could still make it in time for the World Cup and the Three Lions fans will be hopeful.

The same, sadly, cannot be said for Reece James, who suffered a knee injury against AC Milan in the Champions League in early October and will be out for around 8 weeks. It looks extremely unlikely that James makes it on the flight to Qatar. John Stones also suffered a hamstring injury but he should be back in time. Kalvin Phillips also seems like he will miss the WC, as he dislocated his shoulder in early September and hasn’t played for club or country since.

FIFA WC ENGLAND GROUP NEWS: England has been placed in Group-B with Iran, USA, and Wales. Looking at the group, one would suggest that England should easily top the group and they should have no real issue winning all their group-stage games.

FIFA WC ENGLAND Matches & Schedule: England’s WC campaign will start against Iran on the 21st of November, followed by their clash with USA on the 26th and a battle against Wales on the 30th to round off their group stage games.
