FIFA WC DENMARK TEAM: Denmark has been a team that has been quietly surprising people with their displays. You would not expect a lot from the Danes but they punched above their weight in the Euro 2020 campaign as they reached the semi-finals but lost out to England in that stage.

After the horrific incident of Eriksen, it seems that this incident has brought the Danish team together, in a way that has not happened before. They are in a group where they would be expected to finish 2nd if nothing more since they have France to worry about as well.

FIFA WC DENMARK SQUAD: Denmark was in good touch in Russia as well as they made it to the Round of 16 but eventually lost out to runners-up, Croatia on penalties. Their displays post that World Cup has been nothing short of phenomenal and even though they have individual talent in their ranks, it is their work as a group that is catching everyone’s eye.

The Danes were extremely strong in their World Cup qualifying stage as they topped their group, ending the qualifying with 27 points to their name. There was no shortage of goals too as they ended up scoring 30 times in their 10 games of qualifying. Their defense too was on fire as they only conceded 3 goals in their 10 games.

DENMARK TEAM NEWS: The Danish team is expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation for the mega event. They have quite a balanced squad right from the back to their attack as well. Kjær and Christensen will be the center backs for them and this is a good mixture of experience and youth.

Eriksen will be the creative lynchpin in midfield and his contribution will be vital as Denmark eyes making the Round of 16 and advancing further. They also have Dolberg and Brathwaite up front, while Kasper will be starting most games, the former FC Barcelona striker will be hoping to make good contributions from the bench.

DENMARK Team INJURY LIST: Andreas Christensen, the defender from FC Barcelona is the only injury scare at the moment for the Danes with a sprained ankle but he too should be back to 100% fitness before the start of the tournament.

FIFA WC DENMARK GROUP NEWS: Denmark is placed in Group D with the likes of France, Australia, and Tunisia. Looking at the way they’ve been playing over the last 2-3 years, you would expect them to make it out of the group stages alive.

FIFA WC DENMARK Matches & Schedule: Tunisia will challenge the Danes in their first game of the World Cup in 2022 on the 22nd of November. France will be their next opponent on the 26th, and the Men from Down Under, Australia will finish things on the 30th of the month.
