About the Stadium
Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur is one of India’s most modern cricket venues, named after the legendary freedom fighter from Chhattisgarh. Built in 2008 and managed by the Chhattisgarh Cricket Association, the stadium holds around 65,000 spectators and is situated in the fast-developing Naya Raipur township. It hosted its first international match — an ODI between India and England — in January 2013. The venue has since hosted T20Is and IPL fixtures, becoming a key outpost for cricket in central India with a reputation for batting-friendly conditions and large, enthusiastic crowds.
