During Covid-19, UFC President Dana White and owner of the media company Endeavour, Ari Emanuel, made a startling revelation regarding the process of obtaining a $1.5 billion ESPN deal. The owner of the UFC and WWE discussed how White helped to keep the ship afloat during trying times in a recent podcast with Jay Shetty.

Emanuel described how Dana White decided to keep the UFC open even during the COVID – 19 lockout in a podcast interview with Jay Shetty. Ari said “ I got scared and he like slapped me across the face and said that we’re going. He demanded to get him an island,” 

Endeavour, the parent corporation of the UFC, was not exempt when the global epidemic caused a huge decline in businesses everywhere. Their bottom line was significantly impacted by the financial consequences of Covid-19. Dana White’s promise to revive UFC activities more quickly than other sports provided Endeavour with a lifeline. He claimed that the business would have to close down if it weren’t for Dana White. The UFC saw success unlike any other sports organisation in the world.

Dana White also urged Emanuel to provide him an island as he pledged to return to action during the pandemic. In Abu Dhabi, the island later became known as “Fight Island.” The CEO of Endeavour said, “He said, ‘Get me an Island’… He was merely operating the train.

One of the businesses that continued to operate despite the challenges of COVID-19 was UFC. While they were confined, fight fans made UFC combat island famous. Dana White has always chosen to make bold choices, which have helped to shape the UFC into what it is today.
