As for India’s counterparts, Pakistan take on Bangladesh on 6th September in what happens to be the first game of the Super 4s in Asia Cup 2023 in Lahore.

Both the teams will get ample time and chances to sharpen and fix any chinks in their armour. For the Indians it will be a much harder game and preparation. With the top order crubling like a pack of cards against Pakistan’s pacer trio, it will be a real test for the likes of stalwarts like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

On the other hand, though India didn’t get a chance to bowl against their arch rivals, the Men in Blue did got the sun on their backs when they faced Nepal in the second group stage game. India bowled out Nepal for just 230 runs with Ravindra Jadej and Mohammed Siraj bagging 3 wcikets apiece and Shami, Shardul and Hardik being contented with just a solitary wicket.

But it will be a brand new day, new start and a renewed rivalry when the two rival nation go head-to-head craving nothing but a win at any cost.
