PKL 2023: Ajay Thakur no longer assistant coach of Dabang Delhi, team makes last-minute change

Pro Kabaddi League champ Ajay Thakur had to vacate his post due to his prior commitments to Himachal Pradesh Police.

The Pro Kabaddi League 2023 is just a day away, and Dabang Delhi has made an urgent change to it’s current roster. The former India skipper Ajay Thakur, who is a legend of the PKL, has been replaced by another legend, Joginder Narwal as the assistant coach of the team.

While Rambir Singh Khokhar remains the head coach, Ajay Thakur had to step down from the role due to his prior commitment as the DSP in Himachal Pradesh. Interestingly, Ajay was present during the PKL 2023 auction, and actively participated in the bidding of the players.

Ajay played his last season in the PKL two years back, when he guided Dabang Delhi to the title. But there isn’t much to worry for the Delhi camp as Joginder Narwal is an equally seasoned pro, and had played with the team earlier. The latter also stuck around with Delhi from Pro Kabaddi League Season 6.
