Mason Greenwood: Manchester United’s Official Statement
Manchester United player Mason Greenwood was released on bail Wednesday by police who questioned him on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman. The 20-year-old forward, who had been in custody since being arrested on Sunday, has been “released on bail pending further investigation,” Greater Manchester Police said.
According to reports, it has been found out that Manchester United will not be providing any legal counsel for Mason Greenwood. The English striker is arranging his own personal representation. Reports also suggest that Greenwood will not be allowed to train or play for the club when released from police custody. As per the club norms, only when the matter has been resolved can the future of the player be determined.
The police have reportedly visited Mason Greenwood’s house for their search for clues and evidence.
In a statement released earlier on Sunday, the club had said: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.” We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. “We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established.

Mason Greenwood: Harriet Robson’s father and Greater Manchester Police have released a statement
The 21-year-old social media influencer Harriet Robson posted pictures on Instagram which showed her bruised face, arms, and thighs and bleeding from the mouth. She accused the 20-year-old Manchester United striker of inflicting the same. Reports claim that some of the pictures are as old as of 2020 which proves that Greenwood has been accused of domestic violence for a long period of time.

Recently, the posts are deleted from Harriet Robson’s account as is normal during an ongoing investigation. Greater Manchester Police department in a statement said that they were looking into the matter.
“Greater Manchester Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances,” read the statement of Greater Manchester Police. Greenwood has played 129 times for United, scoring 35 goals.
