According to sources in Spain, Real Madrid is not targeting Harry Kane or Kylian Mbappe, which is a huge boost to Manchester United. Karim Benzema, a famous striker for the Spanish giants, left to join Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia lately. Kane of Tottenham and Mbappe of PSG were the top candidates to replace Benzema

However, Joselu is the player Real Madrid is reportedly hoping to sign, according to Spanish sports radio Cope. The attacker played for Stoke for two seasons (2015–2017), although he only managed four goals in 27 games. After leaving Deportivo on loan, he moved to Newcastle and scored seven goals in 57 games played at St. James Park.

When he was playing for Alaves and now Espanyol in Spain, Joselu truly transformed himself. He scored 17 in 38 last season which has caught the attention of Real Madrid. The summer transfer window for Carlo Ancelotti’s team will come to an end after the Spaniard and Jude Bellingham have been incorporated into the group.

Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG in doubt?

Mbappe recently informed the Parisians of his decision not to exercise his player option to extend his contract until June 2025, according to transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano. Last summer, the Frenchman agreed to a contract that would run through 2024 with an additional season’s option.

He has indicated time and time again that he intends to remain at the Parc des Princes for the 2023–24 season. However, according to a report from Romano, PSG wants Mbappe to sign a contract extension rather than letting him depart on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. Real Madrid is apparently interested in tapping up the Frenchman.

Mbappe addresses rumors about his future

Mbappe wasn’t hanging around and was quick to make a statement about his future. He said, ‘Lies. I’ve already said that I’m going to continue next season at PSG where I’m very happy.’

Although he did say that he wasn’t going to extend his PSG contract until June 2025. He said, ‘I didn’t ask to leave PSG or to join Real Madrid. I just told the club that I won’t activate the option to extend the contract until June 2025. We never discussed new deal with PSG but I’m happy to stay here next season.’

The Red Devils have a window of chance to sign the striker, though, as Los Blancos appear to have pulled out of the competition this year. In January, when he allegedly told PSG’s owners that the Red Devils initiative was of interest, they allegedly suggested a transfer to Manchester United. PSG’s Qatari owners will probably be overjoyed to sell to a club owned by their fellow countrymen if Sheikh Jassim’s attempt to acquire Manchester United is successful.
