His skiddy medium-pace bowling and stylish batting proved useful in both Tests and ODIs. The arrival of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and other T20 leagues made him a superstar of the format. He has especially been successful with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and has been an integral member of this team for many years. Dwayne Bravo’s Test Record: Bravo first appeared on the Test scene during the West Indies’ tour of England in 2004. It was clear that he had potential, both as a batsman and bowler. On top of that, his fielding was electric. Though very much a medium pacer, Bravo knew how to pick wickets and ended up with 86 in his 40 Tests. He was more successful with the bat, scoring 2200 runs at an average of over 31 with two hundreds. His Test career ended prematurely due to his focus on T20 cricket.

Dwayne Bravo’s ODI Record: Bravo’s canny bowling and aggressive batting, combined with athleticism made him among the most important members of Windies ODI team after his debut in 2004. The all-rounder last played an ODI in 2014 and his career in this format too has been sacrificed due to a preference for T20 leagues. In all, Bravo played 164 one-day internationals and picked up an impressive 199 wickets. He also scored 2,968 runs in this version of the game.

Dwayne Bravo T20I Record: Ever since the advent of T20 international cricket, Bravo was among the most important players for West Indies. The shortest format is the only one where the Trinidadian is still playing for West Indies. Till now, he has played 66 matches and scored 1,142 runs and picked up 52 wickets. Bravo was part of the World T20-winning teams of 2012 and 2016.

Dwayne Bravo’s IPL Record: The 37-year old is among the strong core of players which have made Chennai Super Kings an extremely consistent side in the league. A very canny bowler and a stylish and powerful stroke-maker, the West Indian has greatly helped the cause of CSK in several matches through his all-round efforts. In his IPL career, Bravo represented Mumbai Indians from 2008-2010 before becoming a marquee player for CSK.
