IND vs AUS 5th T20I: After sealing the IND vs AUS T20I series with 20 run win in the 4th T20I, India will look to end the series on a high when they take on Australia in the 5th and final T20I at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. The Men in Blue are up 3-1 in the T20I series. The Aussies look a shadow of their former self with many seniors returning home in the middle of the series.
IND vs AUS 5th T20I: What to expect
India were dominant in the 4th T20I. Riding on Rinku Singh’s 46 and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 37, India posted 174 on the board. Australia in reply looked shaky from the start with many youngsters coming in. They ultimately fell 20 runs short of the target. Axar Patel took home the man of the match award with figures of 3/16 in four overs.

The young Indian batting line-up has shown they have plenty of firepower. Rinku Singh has been in excellent form. He has batted according to the needs of the match. Jitesh Sharma, who played his first match of the series, chipped in with a quickfire 35 to help India reach 174.
However, this is the first time in the T20I series that India have scored below 200 runs in an innings. Shreyas Iyer, who came in place of Tilak Verma and batted at no 3, failed to make a mark. But considering the form he is in, India would bet on Iyer to come good.
To talk about India’s bowling, the spinners have had a good outing in the series. The likes of Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel in the last match picked up wickets on flat surfaces too while not conceding too much. It’s the pace bowling unit that will be a concern. Barring Avesh Khan in the 4th T20, no one has looked comfortable. With Bengaluru pitch a graveyard for bowlers, they will have to be on their toes.
Australia, on the other hand, made quite a few changes. With several seniors such as Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa and Stoinis returning home, the squad is depleted. Youngsters who replaced them in the batting line-up had a match to forget. Only captain Mathew Wade put some resistance after Travis Head came down hard on Indian bowling attack in the powerplay. The new-look middle order has to click in IND vs AUS 5th T20I to salvage pride.
The Indian batters have feasted on Australia’s bowlers throughout the series. Although Ben Dwarshuis picked up three wickets in the 4th T20I, he went for 40 in his four overs. The Aussies would be looking to put a brake on their high economy rates in the 5th T20I.
