Every tour to their country is a golden opportunity for them to improve their performance and standing in world cricket.

The Zimbabweans last played T20 cricket in the month of March when they took on Afghanistan. In that series, the African team suffered a 0-3 whitewash. It was a big setback for the Zimbabweans as no batsmen in their side made a mark and all the bowlers had a tough time as well.
But playing at home is likely to help the embattled side. Their key batsmen are Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor. Williams, the captain of the team as well, will have to lead from the front. Taylor, on the other hand, is the best batsman of Zimbabwe. He has to contribute big, not just for his team’s sake but also to keep his reputation intact.

Pakistan
Pakistan benefitted from the depletion of the South African team due to IPL and won their T20 series comfortably. Their two best batsmen, captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan were in spectacular form. The bowlers didn’t do as well as expected of them but they are still likely to create difficulties for the Zimbabwe batsmen.
The spin department has suffered due to the loss of Shadab Khan due to injury. But there are others who can step in to fill the void, temporarily of course. Faheem Ashraf was the Man of the Series against South Africa.
This is a positive development for Pakistan as he would be a great help to the overburdened Shaheen Shah Afridi. Hasan Ali will remain an important member of the team.
