The two superstars put on a brilliant performance, however, the end was something that was not something many people expected. The end of the match saw Cody Rhodes rolling up Seth Rollins for a quick three count to win the match, sending Rollins into complete shock.

WWE Hall of Famer Convinced Cody Rhodes to Return to the WWE
The American Nightmare returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38. After seven years as Seth Rollins’ surprise opponent, he came back to the company. Recently, on the After the Bell podcast with Corey Graves, Rhodes spoke about the person who influenced him to come back to the WWE. He revealed WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page helped him make the decision.
“He brought up a good point. The last time I did something major leaving the WWE, he was of the same thought process. ‘Well if you believe, if you’re confident then I’ll be confident with you and confident for you.’
And he gave me some tips on people to speak to and people to let things know before it all went down. He was the only one who was a little bit more fatherly and like okay, let’s make sure this is really what you want and not just a knee-jerk thing. For the most part, everyone who knew in that very small circle was like, ” Go do it, absolutely, which surprised me.”
Diamond Dallas Page has been very close to the Rhodes family for decades now. Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes was the key reason Diamond Dallas Page not only made it into the ring but also became World Champion. It seems now that DDP is returning the favor by mentoring Dusty Rhodes’ son.
