Besides being one of the greatest wrestler, Ric Flair also shares a heart-warming friendship with many from the business. He recently visited one of his old friends, Steve McMichael in the hospital.

Steve McMichael, popularly known as ‘Mongo’ entered the world of professional wrestling in 1995 and thus began his journey with the sport. In the beginning of his career, Steve McMichael joined as a wrestling commentator during some of the early appearances for WWE. Later he joined WCW as a full-time commentator.
Later Steve McMichael started training to compete in the ring. Then a feud began between Steve McMichael and Ric Flair based on personal reasons. However later on Steve McMichael became an official member of The Four Horsemen.

McMichael continued his in-ring career till 1999. However at present the wrestler is not in a good condition, probably which is why Ric Flair decided to visit his old friend. Mongo with his wife, Misty and his old friend watched Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair’s performance on this week’s smackdown.

Steve McMichael has been diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and since April 2021 he has been fighting the disease. Many of his friends and former colleagues have visited him in the hospital to stay beside him in his hard times. Though his in-ring fight has ended long ago, his out of the ring battle still continues and we pray just like his several matches, he comes out of this battle with victory too.
