WWE Smackdown: Seth Rollins mentioned Jon Moxley in his promo- AEW has never backed down in referring to the recently released superstars from WWE in their promo segments. The lines are already drawn between the two promotions, and you rarely see WWE pulling the strings on AEW.

However, this week on Smackdown, Seth Rollins acknowledged his former Shield member Dean Ambrose a.k.a John Moxley in AEW, during his promo segment. WWE has the reputation of using names they own rather than the names that the wrestlers are using on any other promotion or independent circuit. However, in this instance, Seth Rollins referred to ‘Mox’ (John Moxley) during his promo segment.

WWE Smackdown: Seth Rollins mentioned ‘Mox’
It was the opening segment of the night when Seth Rollins interrupted the celebrations of Roman Reigns’ 508 days as the Universal Champion. Rollins then said that let’s ‘Acknowledge’ the fact that The Usos are the longest reigning Smackdown Champion and they are the cornerstone of the Bloodline just like he and Mox (John Moxley of AEW who was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE and was part of the ‘Shield’) was the one who helped Roman elevate to the top.

Kevin Owens also made his way during the segment, and later the main event was set up fr the night between The Usos and the team of Owens & Rollins. Owens & Rollins won the tag-team bout later in the night, which means we won’t see The Usos accompanying Roman Reigns during the Universal Championship bout against Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble PPV event on Sunday, January 29.
No other captivating segment took place during the night, with this being the only highlight of the night.
