WWE SmackDown Preview: Kevin Owens gets one more shot at the Head Of The Table.

Announced by WWE on Monday morning, Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Championship on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown against Kevin Owens. In response to the interference seen at WWE TLC on Sunday night, the match will also be contested inside a steel cage.

WWE.com offered the following preview:

At WWE TLC, Universal Champion Roman Reigns employed the help of his cousin Jey Uso to add to his overall advantage against the ultra-resilient Kevin Owens and ultimately secured the victory in an absolutely brutal Tables, Ladders & Chair Match.

But there will be no one and nothing to help either Superstar when they are locked inside the unforgiving steel on the blue brand. KO challenges The Big Dog a Universal Championship Rematch inside a Steel Cage, this Friday at 8/7 C on SmackDown.

Reigns versus Owens is the second match announced for this week’s episode of SmackDown; Big E will also challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Friday night. Big E pinned Zayn in an eight-man tag team match at WWE TLC Kickoff, and he also “ruined” the champion’s Sami Awards ceremony this past week.
