Friday Night SmackDown will feature the SmackDown’s side of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Two Triple Threat Matches will take place featuring Edge vs Rey Mysterio vs AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley vs Austin Theory vs Sheamus, respectively. The winners of the Triple Threat Matches will face each other in the main event to decide the opponent for Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

- Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley and Dakota Kai – The match began with Bayley in control but soon Raquel Rodriguez channelized her strength and took down her opponents. Finally, Liv Morgan pinned Bayley for the win.
- AJ Styles defeated Bobby Lashley- Lashley dominated most of the match but Styles nailed the Phenomenal Forearm for the win. Thus, AJ Styles will face Seth Rollins at WWE Night of Champions.
