WWE Rumors & News: WWE has made huge money in the past in Saudi Arabia, and the company is planning to return with yet another event on the desert land. As per the latest reports, WWE is planning to host a show in the Gulf Country by the end of 2021.
WWE has locked a deal in the past with Saudi Arabia’s General Sports Authority to host two shows in a year for the next 10 years. February 2020 was the last time when WWE hosted a show in Saudi Arabia named Super ShowDown, since then, courtesy of the global Pandemic, WWE is yet to host an event in Saudi Arabia.
Return to Saudi Arabia this year?
WWE Rumors & News: According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE will return to Saudi Arabia “this fall.” However, no official date is out yet.
“With the world starting to open up and World Wrestling Entertainment beginning to tour again, we have been asked by several readers if and when the company might resume doing their Saudi Arabia events. We are told by company sources that the early expectation is that they will finally return to Saudi Arabia this fall, but an official date has not been locked in yet. The expectation is that they will run one event there before the end of the year.”
WWE hosted their first PPV Saudi Arabia event in April 2018, named the Greatest Royal Rumble. WWE Crown Jewel was the next to take place in November 2018 and October 2019. Legends like The Undertaker, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Boxing legend Tyson Fury and MMA legend Cain Velasques have featured in these events.
WWE has three PPV lined up till August 2021
WWE Rumors & News: As of now, WWE has revealed the dates of their next three pay-per-views. Hell in a Cell is the first event to take place on June 20, followed by Money In The Bank PPV on July 18, and the biggest event of the summer i.e., Summerslam on August 21.
WWE pay-per-views are stacked already till August 2021. Therefore, the Saudi Arabia event might take place in September-October, before Survivor Series. Stay Tuned for related updates.
