WWE Royal Rumble: With the WWE Day 1 being scrapped by the company’s Chief Content Officer Triple H, the Royal Rumble is all set to be the first premium live event of the new year for the Stamford-based promotion. While there are numerous title matches that will be featured at the mega show, the highlight of the event will be the two Royal Rumble matches for men and women respectively. There have been reports of WWE planning a 40-man Royal Rumble match for the men’s division while the women’s one will go forward with the usual number of participants (30). Over the past few weeks, there have been a lot of speculations about who could emerge as the winner in both of these matches. As far as the Women’s division is concerned, Becky Lynch currently is in pole position to win the contest according to the latest betting odds. Rhea Ripley occupies the second spot due to her immense rise in recent months whereas Charlotte Flair who has been out of action for months is expected to make a return at the premium live event. The Queen is in the third position if we go by the latest betting odds.

Now coming to the Men’s division, it has been pretty hard to guess who will headline WrestleMania 39 against the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. There was a time when it looked like WWE has run out of worthy competitors for the Samoan but a few suitable names have now been discussed internally. Looking at the odds, the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is leading the race with Sami Zayn and the Rock sitting at the second and the third spot respectively. While there has been almost no speculation about Sami Zayn facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, the Brahma Bull has been heavily talked about in the company. It was reported that WWE has not locked in the Rock for WrestleMania 39 due to his busy schedule. However, a decision is to be made sooner rather than later.
