WWE RAW: Former WWE World Champion weighs in on why Vince McMahon favored Austin Theory
Speaking in a new interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle shed light on why Vince McMahon favored Austin Theory so much. The Olympic gold medalist professed that the young wrestler is a total package which provoked Vince to bat for him. He also recalled the 77-year-old doing the same for him.
“I’m impressed by this kid and I understand why Vince McMahon loved him so much. He’s the whole thing. He has everything. He can talk, he’s got a great look, he can wrestle. This kid was groomed by Vince McMahon when he started and rightfully so. That’s what Vince McMahon did with me as well. WWE RAW: Austin Theory defeated Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley at Survivor Series WarGames
Austin Theory is currently enjoying his second run as the WWE United States Champion.
He defeated previous champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a triple-threat match at Survivor Series WarGames on November 26. He took advantage of a spear from Lashley on Rollins and got the pinfall.
