WWE NXT: Viewership falls for this week despite Balor vs. Kross 2.0

WWE NXT : The viewership for WWE’s Black and Gold brand saw a massive dip despite Karrion Kross and Finn Balor putting up one of the best NXT Championship matches of all time. 

According to PW Torch, NXT could only draw 6,98,000 fans. This mark is down by 2000 from the numbers of last week. Also, they pulled a .13 in the coveted 18-49 demographics.

NBA Playoffs gave a stiff competition 

One of the biggest reasons for the dip in NXT viewership could be the NBA Playoffs. The playoffs took place on the same day as WWE NXT that dispersed audiences’ attention into two different directions.

Talking about the last week, WWE NXT drew a total of 6,97,000 viewers with a .17 in the 18-49 demographics. Here’s a list of viewership numbers since the start of the month of May. 

Last week of April: The Black and Gold brand drew 8,05,000 viewers with a .22 in the 18-49 demographic.

1st week of May: The first week saw 8,41,000 viewers with a .23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

2nd week of May: The second week saw 7,44,000 viewers with a .22 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

3rd week of May: The third week saw 7,61,000 viewers with a .18 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

4th week of May: This week saw 6,97,000 viewers with a .17 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The figures mentioned above states that the first week of May was the best for WWE NXT as it drew 8,41,000 viewers with a .23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
