Recently, the United States Champion appeared on Corey Graves’ After the Bell Podcast. During his interview, Balor addressed his status in the wrestling world and how it is hard for him to be away from his family to live his dream.
Balor broached about his wrestling career and the money he gets from it. He said, “I’ll be honest, the money is not that good for the amount of pain we go through, and being away from my family for 20 years.”

“I wrestle with myself the whole time, as to like, hey is this money worth being away from Ireland for 20 years? And in 10 years time, when my family, when people start to pass, or my friends move on, is money gonna be worth the sacrifice that I’ve given up?
