Although Stephanie didn’t give a reason for her absence, she said needs some time off to look over her family. According to a report by PWInsider, McMahon’s announcement came as a shock within WWE. Even her inner circle was unaware of the fact that Stephanie McMahon would step down from her position in an unexpected way.

She took to Twitter to address her leave from the WWE’s CBO position. She wrote, “As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” McMahon tweeted. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”
Stephanie McMahon had helped WWE to achieve new milestones. She started as an Accountant Executive in WWE, later being promoted to Executive Vice President of Creative and so on to Chief Brand Officer of WWE in 2013.

Eventually, the news came as a shock for everyone. Last year, her husband and former WWE Champion Triple H suffered cardiac problems. This could be the reason Stephanie choose to step down and spent some time with her family.

Stephanie McMahon is best known for the start of the Women’s revolution, which shifted WWE to a new era. She brought big female talents from the NXT roster to the main roster and changed the entire women’s run in WWE. Women’s Revolution started in 2016 with the four horsewomen of WWE, which include Charlotte Flair Bayley, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks.
