Recently, several reports of The Rock being discussed for the 2023 Royal Rumble circulated on the internet. However, Ringside News exclusively reported WWE’s current plan for the Hollywood star’s status for the January PLE.

As per Ringside News, a tenured member of WWE reported that there is still no update on The Rock’s status for the Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, there are still discussions going on but nothing is confirmed.
Earlier rumors predicted The Rock winning The Royal Rumble or appearing at the PLE to confront Roman Reigns. Unfortunately, it seems the WWE fans need to wait for an official confirmation from WWE. Although there are still plans for The Rock vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, WWE is yet to lock a deal with the Hollywood star. WWE also has to look for The Rock’s movie schedule to make a suitable deal for both parties.
Currently, the company is moving forward with Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns for the Alamodome event. Recently, both superstars had a backstage heat after Survivor Series with an unplanned spot during the WarGames match but the situation settled on equal grounds.
