WWE has had a hard time finding out the perfect opponent to dethrone the Tribal Chief who has not been pinned for over 3 years but now, the Rock seems a good option for the world championships to change hands. There have been reports of the Rock making a surprising entrant at the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match and ultimately winning it. However, there is nothing concrete about the plan as there is much doubt about the Brahma Bull’s availability. It is no surprise that roping in the former world champion is taking up time as he has a super busy schedule in Hollywood. On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s SmackTalk on WrestleBinge, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell explained that there cannot be a better bet than The Rock to dethrone Roman Reigns.
“This is a good thing about it. Right now, they got the fans talking. Now would be a great match-up. And I think they can negotiate this down. I think that’s the best choice they can make with The Rock because he’s the hottest movie star in the business, and look where that puts WWE’s name. It’s gonna put it everywhere. WWE News: The Rock’s last match in WWE came at WrestleMania 32
The Rock is no stranger to the grandest stage of them all and his last match came at WrestleMania 32 against Erick Rowan. He was the host of the event that year but was interrupted by the Wyatt Family in a high-profile segment. It was then decided that the Brahma Bull would face Rowan in a singles bout.
As soon as the match got underway, The Rock landed a Rock Bottom to secure the pinfall. Since then the Rock has made several appearances in WWE but never fought in a match.
