Sony Pictures Network will continue to broadcast all the WWE content in the Indian territory.
The extension deal, reveal sources, has been agreed between the broadcaster and the World Wrestling Entertainment. A formal announcement is expected sometime next month.
WWE’s next media rights cycle in the Indian territory will start from January next year.

The WWE has also held talks with Star Sports, Amazon, Facebook and JioTV. However, it eventually got a more favorable deal from incumbent Sony. The broadcaster, according to sources, has retained rights for both television and digital.

Sony had got the WWE rights for the Indian territory as part of its $385 million acquisition of Ten Sports. The present rights cycle runs till December end.
WWE attracts close to 390 million unique viewers in India, with a substantial contribution from the Hindi language broadcast on Sony Max.
