Just when Balor went to the top turnbuckle to deliver his finisher maneuver, Coup De Grace, the top rope broke, and he had a nasty landing on his knee.- This gave Roman a chance to deliver the third spear of the match, and that was it for him to retain the Universal title.

Mask is one of the necessities in these testing COVID times, and an instance of this was seen in the bout between Roman Reigns & Finn Balor. The two men fought into the crowd, and Reigns put on a face mask while he was beating the hell out of the Demon Finn Balor amid the crowd.

Once the action shifted back to the ring, Roman removed his face mask to continue the match.
WWE Extreme Rules: The ring broke during Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor match
Roman Reigns barely managed to retain his Universal Title after the ring broke down when Finn Balor went up on the top turnbuckle to deliver Coup De Grace. Just when it looked like we would finally witness a new Universal Champion, the ring ropes didn’t let that happen as Balor fell from the top rope nastily on his knees onto the mat, and Roman delivered a spear to secure a pinfall win. The Demon looked too strong in the end, but the ropes snatched his title victory.
