WTC Final: Sachin Tendulkar decodes what makes Kyle Jamieson a different bowler than others – Kane Williamson led New Zealand thrashed Virat Kohli’s Team India in the final of the World Test Championship. The architect of the victory was Blackcaps latest batting sensation, Kyle Jamieson. He was praised by many cricket pundits after the WTC final. Following the trend, former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was all praises for the Kiwi bowler. Sachin also tried to decode what makes Kyle a different bowler than others.
WTC Final: Talking on his Youtube channel Sachin said, “Jamieson is a fantastic bowler and a utility all-rounder in the New Zealand team. He is going to become one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket. When I had seen him last year in New Zealand, he impressed me with both bat and ball.”
WTC Final: Jamieson was named man of the match for his incredible perfomance in the WTC final. He took seven wickets in the game and was the difference between India and New Zealand’s bowling. Jamieson generated more swing than any other bowler across teams.
WTC Final: “He is a different bowler from Southee, Boult, Wagner and de Grandhomme. This guy likes to hit the deck hard and likes to move the ball off the seam, while the others try to swing the ball away towards the slips. There were a few variations where he angled his wrists and bowled a booming inswinger. What I like was his consistency and he never looked out of rhythm,” Sachin concluded.
WTC Final: Kyle picked the all-important wicket of India captain Virat Kohli twice in the game. Reacting to this Kohli also praised Kyle for his performance. “Jamieson is coming up nicely in international cricket – good areas with the ball, and he can bat quite well too. He’s had a great game and he deserves the man of the match award. He’s a very good bowler, similar to many that I’ve faced in my career so far. His height I think gives him an added advantage. I truly believe that we did not put him under enough pressure,” Kohli said.
