Wrestler Murder Case: Delhi Court sends 6 arrested to judicial custody in Sushil Kumar’s case- A Delhi court on Sunday sent 6 accused arrested during the probe in Sagar Ratna murder case involving the two-time Olympian Sushil Kumar to judicial custody. The development comes a day after Sushil’s police custody was extended by 4 days.

As per a report, as many as 9 arrests have been made in connection with the Wrestler Murder Case. Three out of 12 are still absconding.

“Sushil Kumar is the primary mastermind and the main culprit of this heinous crime wherein a young wrestler died,” the prosecution told the court as quoted by India Today.

Sushil Kumar was arrested along with his aide Ajay in Delhi on May 23 after being on the run since the death of a 23-year-old.

Sushil and his aides are accused of killing wrestler Sagar Ratna on the night of May 4.

Earlier on Friday, Delhi Police’s crime branch had made the 9th arrest in the Wrestler murder case. He claimed that he was the one who beat the wrestler at the parking lot on the night of the crime. The crime branch has also named a person from Tikri village. He is also a wrestler by profession and allegedly confessed to beating Sagar Ratna and his friends on the instruction of Sushil Kumar.

It has been revealed that about 18 persons were involved in the commission of the offence, the report said.

There are a lot of things, including weapons, few vehicles yet to be recovered. The prosecution added that the DVR of CCTV of Sushil Kumar’s house is yet to be recovered, worn-out clothes which are part of the video and material evidence.

It is notable that Sushil Kumar is India’s most decorated wrestler with Olympic medals, 3 medals in Commonwealth games, 4 Championship medals, one world championship gold and 1 bronze in Asian Games.
