Kohli on his Instagram WROTE: “Well played, RCB! So thrilled that my team has won the bid for the Bengaluru Women’s Premier League team. Can’t wait to cheer for our women in Red and Gold.”

With a bid of 901 Crores, Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited, a Diageo India-owned subsidiary that owns and operates Royal Challengers Bangalore, won the right to own and manage a franchise in the Women’s Indian Premier League.
RCB was one of the five entities that purchased a franchise for the eagerly anticipated WPL season.
The organisation, which already ran one of the first eight men’s IPL clubs, announced the change on their social media accounts and unveiled a new franchise logo on Wednesday.
The franchise’s new logo includes a female gender indication symbol.
