Australian senior batter Steve Smith roared back to form as he smashed a quickfire fifty against India during the third ODI being played in Rajkot on September 27 (Wednesday). After failing to get going in the first two matches, the right-handed batter made the most of good batting conditions in Rajkot as he gears up for the upcoming World Cup.

Steve Smith was dismissed for 74 runs by Siraj

During his innings, Smith also completed his 5,000 runs in the ODI format. The right-handed batter played an excellent quickfire knock of 74 runs in just 61 deliveries. His innings included eight fours and one maximum. Smith was looking good for a big one in Rajkot. However, his innings was cut short by pacer Mohammed Siraj.

Smith did not had much of a good time in the last match as he was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna for zero. In the first match, Smith managed to score 41 runs off 60 ball before being cleaned up Shami. However, the senior batter has announced comeback with a quickfire innings against the Men in Blue. This is definitely a warning sign for all the other teams participating in the upcoming mega event.
