Deandra Dottin top-scored with a stunning 62 to help the Supernovas post a competitive 165 on the board. The West Indian stitched a valuable 73-run partnership with Priya Punia at the top, making full use of the field restrictions in the first six overs. Dottin however had luck on her side, after she was dropped on 13 by Sneh Rana who spilled a rather simple catch.
The West Indian to add insult to injury, then welcomed Rana into the attack with two maximums to get a move on in an innings which gave Supernovas the momentum. velocity came to rue that miss when Dottin reached her half-century off just 33 deliveries. The Supernovas opener eventually perished for a well compiled 62 off 44 balls, with Deepti Sharma taking the scalp.
