Women T20 Challenger TROPHY: The teams for the next Senior Women’s T20 Challenger Trophy, which will be played at Raipur’s Shaheed Go Narayan Singh Global Arena, were selected by the All-India Women’s Determination Panel on Thursday. The tournament would provide peripheral India and local players with a respectable platform to display their talent ahead of the home series against Australia in a month.
The Women’s IPL debut takes place in the spring, so that will be on the players’ minds. Four teams made up of the players have been formed. The top two will play each other once again in the championship game on November 26. The periphery players may aim to make the Indian squad for the five-match T20 series against Australia in Mumbai next month in addition to impressing talent scouts. The Women’s T20 World Cup will also take place in South Africa in February.
