Roger Federer vs Cameron Norrie

Tennis legend Roger Federer has defeated Cameron Norrie of Britain for a place in the last 16 of Wimbledon 2021 Championships.

Cameron Norrie has been the surprise package of British tennis this year and he certainly did not let himself down against the immovable Roger Federer.

There were even a few beads of sweat on the 39-year-old eight-time champion’s brow by the end of a testing afternoon – probably exactly what was needed as the No.6 seed heads for the second week when the “real tournament” starts.

Having won the first two sets Federer must have thought this match was for the taking but Norrie is now world No.34 thanks to his final appearance at Queen’s and far from a pushover.

Coco Gauff vs Kaja Juvan

17-year-old Kaja Juvan has defeated Kaja Juvan in straight sets in round 3 of Wimbledon 2021. She won the match 6-3, 6-3 to make it to the fourth round of Wimbledon.

While local attention was focussed on the 18-year-old British sensation Emma Raducanu on Court One, across the Grounds on Centre Court a 17-year-old was booking her place in the second week.

Coco Gauff knows what it is like to capture everyone’s attention at Wimbledon. The Floridian was herself the teenaged sensation in 2019, when she came through Qualifying to reach the fourth round. This year she is the No.20 seed and she eased into that same stage with a occasionally tricky defeat of Kaja Juven.

She defeated Siniakova 6-3, 7-5 to close her gap for first Wimbledon title. The latter was not match to Barty in the opening set but fought hard in the second set but could not manage to win a single set.
