Cummins' first major title win as skipper came in June when he led Australia to their maiden ICC World Test Championship title by defeating India.
Cummins then led from the front to make sure Australia take home the Ashes after securing a 2-2 draw against arch-rivals England. The pacer starred in the series with 18 wickets.
